Vessel Monitoring Software

Leading Edge in Vessel Monitoring Technology

Third generation Krill Vessel Monitoring Software has been written to take advantage of the latest graphical display technology from Microsoft. Sensor data is presented in a simple, concise format, classified into separate pages by their function.

Alarms

Alarm events such as bilge pumps running too long, hatches being left open, fire or engine sensors out of limits is shown superimposed upon customer supplied graphics of their vessel. Any AutoCad, PDF, TIFF or PNG format may be easily imported.

Trends

Any 6 sensors may be selected to be shown at the same time. The page is divided into a Selection window on the bottom, and a Zoom window on top, which zooms the data in the light blue shaded area.

The slider control on the bottom control show how much data is displayed from 2 hours up to a full year.

All of the windows can be horizontally scrolled by clicking and dragging any area.

The blue cursor line may be dragged to any position to read the sensor values at that particular time.

Voyage Management

To track a particular voyage and generate sensor data reports automatically, first enter a Voyage ID, Type and press the Start / Stop button. The voyage duration and fuel consumed so far will be continuously updated.

To aid optimal vessel operation, fuel efficiency in Gallons per Nautical mile is continuously displayed.

Engine and Generators

All of the vital engine and generator sensor data is available on a single page. Each sensor's nominal set point and Alarm set points may be individually adjusted.

Tank Levels

Up to 24 tank levels of various fluid types may be displayed, each of which may be custom calibrated to allow for different tank shapes.

Temperatures

Monitoring temperatures of critical equipment is vital to safety and efficient operation of a vessel. Each temperature sensor can be individually alarmed at different set points.

Rotating equipment with bearings, such as propeller shaft seals, pumps and compressors, often exhibit higher than normal operating temperatures before failure. Setting warning levels at just above the normal temperature range can warn you of impending failure before it happens.

Navigation

Information from your navigation computer, auto pilot and Weather sensors are displayed in an aviation style "heads up display" similar to those found in airline cockpits for easy to understand situational awareness.

Navigational information available include: GPS position, speed over ground, course and vessel heading, course to steer, rudder angle, speed through water and cross track error.

Weather information available include: air temperature, pressure and humidity, wind vector, water temperature and depth.

AC Electrical Systems

Complete status of AC voltage, amps, power and frequency of shore power, generators and sub panels are available.

DC Electrical Systems

Keeping track of your battery bank charge level and DC current draw of chargers, inverters and panels is easy with this display.
