Casey Cox
President & CTO
Casey is the founder of Krill systems and brings over 36 years of technical and managerial experience to the company. With a solid background in hardware and software engineering from Stanford University, Casey spent over 22 years in Silicon Valley developing Robotic control systems, computer network equipment and large scale file servers including custom chip design.
In 2004, he married his passion for engineering and the sea to found Krill Systems, dedicated to providing critical data needed by the maritime industry to conduct business in the most efficient manner.
Brian Staton
VP Sales & Marketing
Brian is a seasoned maritime professional with over 32 years of marine experience. As a maritime professional his portfolio of Sales, Marketing, Corporate Management and International Business Development creates a diverse lifetime of activity in the marine industry.
Attended Eastern Washington University on an athletic scholarship, Brian then joined SIMRAD where he advanced over the years to become President of SIMRAD Americas under the new ownership of Kongsberg Maritime. After 24 years with SIMRAD, Brian then accepted a senior corporate managerial positions as Vice President of the DDI group for NAVICO group, and most recently, Vice President of Krill Systems. Brian’s background has also provided him with a sold understanding of business development, relationship building and understanding of the full picture.
David Parkinson
National Sales Director
David is a seasoned marine professional, bringing together a wide portfolio of Sales, Marketing, Management and Media skills acquired over a lifetime of activity in the marine industry.
Trained as a lawyer in England, David immigrated to the USA in pursuit of larger opportunities, and a maritime career in particular. Field management and senior corporate managerial positions soon followed including: New York Sales Manager at ITT Decca Marine Inc., National Sales Manager at Cetrek Navstar Inc., VP Sales & Marketing at Simrad, Inc., and most recently, National Sales Director at Krill Systems Inc. David’s background has also provided him in-depth knowledge of print media and digital media advertising gained from senior sales positions working with Source interlink and the AIM Media Group of companies.
Chris Harkess
Director of Projects & Solution Architect
Christopher leads both solution development and project delivery of complex systems for maritime clients. With over 15 years of experience integrating advanced technology on commercial vessels, Christopher possesses deep knowledge and broad experience managing projects from inception to survey, design, installation, testing, and maintenance.
Forward-thinking and solution-oriented, Christopher monitors the critical path for each project and partners with clients, engineers, vessel crew, and field personnel to ensure that projects are delivered and tested to exact standards.
Greg Pohl
Director of Field Services & Solution Architect
Greg leads the technical configuration, field installation, and testing of complex systems for maritime clients. Greg has over 17 years of experience working hands-on with new and legacy systems installed on today’s commercial vessels.
Throughout the technical project from early concept, to testing and maintenance, Greg ensures that systems meet exact performance standards and fulfill precise technical requirements. Ensuring tight job control within the scope of work and tight quality control for the solutions installed, Greg is a trusted partner who effectively collaborates with engineers, vessel crew, and field personnel to deliver complex solutions in deadline driven environments.
In addition to his extensive systems knowledge, Greg’s technical certifications include: NMEA, Certified Marine Electronics Technician, ABYC, Electrical certification, and maintains FCC General Radio Operators License with radar and GMDSS endorsements.
